You pick the European Union, the United States, or the United Kingdom when you create the project. That choice is the rest location for the database, the uploads, and the published origin. It is not inferred from the invoice, the marketing language, or the city of the company. Moving later is a project.

Choose the region at creation
Choose the region at creation, on the project, before the first import. The field is visible. It is not inferred from your billing address and it is not inferred from the language of the marketing page you arrived on.
The European Union is the default we recommend if you cannot say why you need another. The United States is for teams that already run there and can name why. The United Kingdom is for teams that need a UK rest location under UK GDPR, not a hope that Europe covers them.
One project, one region. If two sets of rows cannot share a rest location, split the work into two projects.
What is stored and where
What is stored and where is the project database, the uploaded files, and the published site origin for that project. Daily backups of that project stay in the same region for 30 days.
Account email may still be needed to sign you in. Read privacy for the account row. This marketing site is hosted as named on the legal notice. That host is not the project region.
Apple and Google keep their own regions if you submit a store package. The card network keeps its own region if you pay Plus or Team. Those vendors are not moved by the project field.
Subprocessors and transfers
Subprocessors and transfers start with the host named on the legal notice for this marketing site, and with the region you picked for the project. Support sees a project when you invite us or when a host alert names it.
A lawful request is answered with what we hold, not with a story. We do not list every possible warrant on this page. We do not make a silent second copy of your project for training.

GDPR and individual rights
GDPR and individual rights stay with the controller of the file. If you store addresses, leave balances, or reviews, you are that controller. Eqlo is the processor of the project you opened.
A person who asks you for access, correction, or deletion is answered from your export and your seats. We can close an account and we can export the project. We cannot invent a legal memo for a US state statute on this page.
US readers: state laws differ. If you process California residents, your own notice still applies. We will not write it for you. UK readers: UK GDPR is why the United Kingdom is a third choice, not a synonym of the European Union.
Change region
Change region is a project, not a toggle. We do not drag a live people tool across an ocean on a Friday because a lawyer sent a PDF.
Export the project, create a new one in the right region, import what you still need. Budget time for that. It is cheaper than pretending a switch is a transfer.

Can I mix EU and US rows in one project?
No. One project, one region. Split the work if the rows cannot share a rest location.
Does paying in dollars force a US region?
No. Billing address and project region are separate. Taxes follow the bill. Rows follow the project.
Is the United Kingdom the same as the European Union?
No. That is why it is a third choice. If your counsel says UK rest, pick the United Kingdom. Do not hope an EU tick covers it.
What if I picked the wrong region?
Export and start again in the right region. Write if a large workspace needs a hand. We will not invent a silent migrate button.
